Turkish ship to visit Port of Burgas in September 2026

The Council of Ministers authorized the stay of the state ship TCSG-312 in the ports of Burgas and Sozopol for the purposes of bilateral cooperation with Turkey.

The Turkish vessel TCSG-312 (reserve TCSG-303) will visit the port of Burgas and the "Border Police Vessels" Base – Sozopol between September 29 and October 2, 2026. The Council of Ministers has already authorized the vessel's entry and stay within Bulgaria's internal waters and territorial sea.

The vessel, which holds state status, belongs to the Coast Guard Command of the Republic of Turkey. The visit is part of the activity "Visit of a Turkish Coast Guard border police vessel to ports of the Republic of Bulgaria," as stipulated in the Bilateral Cooperation Plan between the General Directorate "Border Police" and the Turkish Coast Guard Command.

According to the government press service, the visit aims to increase coast guard effectiveness through maritime border surveillance, the prevention and combat of transnational crime, and the coordination of actions between the General Directorate "Border Police" and the Turkish Coast Guard.
