Caritas is organizing job fairs for refugees in Sofia and Burgas today and on March 31st. The events are held within the framework of the project “Support for the economic integration of refugees in Bulgaria”, in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and aim to facilitate the inclusion of people from refugee communities in the Bulgarian labor market.

The job fairs will bring together employers and job-seeking representatives of refugee communities, providing an opportunity for direct meetings and interviews. During the two events, translation will be provided to facilitate communication between all participants.

Participation in the events is free. Employers will have the opportunity to personally meet the candidates, conduct preliminary discussions, and find suitable employees from various professional fields.

The opening of the event in Sofia is at 1:30 PM.

At the beginning of the year, the Employment Agency announced that in December 8839 unemployed people started work with the mediation of the labor offices. According to the data, 745 employed people, students, and pensioners received assistance for changing or developing their professional realization. In December, over 2870 people were motivated to take their first steps towards inclusion in the labor market.
