Yet another incident involving a marine mammal has alarmed citizens in Varna. A dead dolphin was discovered on the central beach after a report was filed to the "green line" of the regional eco-inspection.

This is the fifth case of a dolphin washed ashore within just 10 days, which is causing serious concern among environmentalists and the public.

Chronology of the incidents:

At the moment, the eco-inspection has taken the necessary measures for the removal of the animal. Initial observations by experts show no visible signs of injury on the body, which directs attention to other potential causes for the death of the marine creatures.
