If there is even one wronged customer due to an inflated electricity bill, they will be compensated. This was stated by the caretaker Minister of Energy Traycho Traykov in the bTV program “Why, Mr. Minister”.
He stated that he is eagerly awaiting the results of the checks on the removed electricity meters, which are currently being carried out.
According to the Minister of Energy, more than 15,000 consumers of the energy companies have filed complaints about high electricity bills.
After we compare whether the readings correspond to the invoice and it turns out that they do, we begin to suspect the electricity meters, commented Traykov. Therefore, according to him, it is the correct step for the regulator to randomly remove 130 electricity meters, which are being technically and software-wise checked by an independent laboratory.
The results were expected to be released at the end of this week, but they still are not. Minister Traykov urged that this information be available tomorrow.
