"The government has developed a very serious program, and our intention is to consistently replace all rolling stock," stated Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Peev. During his appearance on the show "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov," he explained the ministry's vision for a large-scale modernization of railway transport.

A plan to acquire 23 trains, funded through the Social Climate Fund, is currently being implemented, with the schedule aiming for the production of the final unit to be completed by the end of April.

To ensure the continuity and stability of this process after 2028, when the next programming period begins, the ministry is conducting intensive negotiations. Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov and representatives of the European Commission are participating, with the main goal being to secure the necessary funding for the purchase of additional new trains.
