Simultaneously, Turkish club Trabzonspor has made a modest offer of just 1.5 million pounds for 28-year-old Scottish central defender John Souttar. At the same time, Rangers are negotiating a temporary transfer of 24-year-old goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton and Hove Albion.

In another direction, left-back Rıdvan Yılmaz has received a loan offer from Beşiktaş and has expressed readiness to return to Turkey if an agreement is reached. An interesting detail is also the claim by the Peterborough United chairman that Rangers have overtaken an Italian club in signing 23-year-old central defender Emmanuel Fernandes.

Outside Rangers, Celtic are also active in the transfer market. The club is monitoring the situation around Odsonne Edouard at Crystal Palace, with manager Brendan Rodgers considering a potential return of the 27-year-old striker.

Interesting possibilities are also emerging for other Scottish teams. For example, Nottingham Forest is showing interest in Liverpool's winger Ben Doak, while Aston Villa is considering John McGinn's future in light of new interest from Atletico Madrid in Conor Gallagher.

Local clubs like Dundee and Heart of Midlothian are also in the process of searching and developing their squads. Dundee is preparing to strengthen the midfield after their last match, while Heart of Midlothian has specific interest in players like Aidan Denholm and Harry Stone.
