US President "Donald Trump" will celebrate his "80th birthday" this evening in an unconventional way – with a grand mixed martial arts show on the "South Lawn of the White House". In front of about "4,000 spectators," the head of state will watch live, spectacular MMA fights – a format that has never before been held at this iconic location.
Officially, the gala evening, costing about "60 million dollars," will kick off national celebrations for the "250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence." To this end, a special structure has been built in front of the White House, and the event is positioned as a symbolic start to the jubilee campaign.
The costs for installing the arena, named "The Claw" – "The Claw", an impressive structure standing "28 meters" tall, as well as for the fan zone, which is expected to host about "100,000 people," will be covered by "UFC," the organization that dominates the world of mixed martial arts. The show begins at "03:00" Monday morning, "June 15" Bulgarian time, which corresponds to "8:00 PM ET" on Sunday evening local time.
The clashes will take place in a structure resembling the classic "octagonal cage" characteristic of MMA. "The guys who are going to be facing each other are the toughest ones you've ever seen," said "Donald Trump" in an interview with the "New York Post" on Thursday, adding: "If you've never watched it live, you won't believe your eyes."
The program includes a total of "7 big fights." In the main event, "Ilia Topuria" and "Justin Gaethje" will face off in a match for the "lightweight title unification." The undercard battle also generates significant interest – "Alex Pereira" moves up to "heavyweight" to face "Ciryl Gane."
After the gala ends, the unique arena will be dismantled immediately to restore the usual layout of the South Lawn. Shortly after, "Donald Trump" will travel to "France," where he is scheduled to attend the "G7" leaders' summit.
The preparation for the event was also accompanied by a legal dispute. A US court approved the holding of the matches on White House grounds after rejecting a lawsuit for their cancellation. The human rights organization "Public Integrity Project" filed a complaint in June on behalf of two citizens demanding the tournament be canceled, arguing that authorities violated the law by not coordinating the event with "Congress" and, furthermore, that it offended the "aesthetic sensibilities" of the plaintiffs.
The court's decision in favor of the organizers cleared the way for the unconventional show, which will combine the president's personal jubilee with the start of the official festivities for a quarter-millennium of American independence.
