Tragic Incidents on Black Sea Beaches: Two Dead in One Day

Two fatal cases on the seashore shake up the resort towns of Ahtopol and Sveti Vlas. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two middle-aged men.

A series of tragic events marked another summer day along the Black Sea coast, with police authorities in Burgas region registering two deaths at different beaches within a few hours.

The first incident was registered on August 14 around 3:30 PM in Ahtopol, when a rescue team pulled the lifeless body of a 55-year-old Sofia resident from the sea water. Forensic experts conducted a thorough investigation of the scene and did not find any visible signs of violence.

A little later, around 7:00 PM, a second fatal case was documented in the resort of Sveti Vlas. While swimming, a 52-year-old man fell into a critical health condition in front of the Grand Hotel "Sveti Vlas". Relatives and random beachgoers tried to provide first aid, but his life could not be saved.

In both cases, the bodies of the deceased were transported for forensic examination at the University Multiprofile Hospital - Burgas. The local police departments in Tsarevo and Nessebar initiated pre-trial proceedings to clarify the exact circumstances of the sudden deaths.

The competent authorities continue the investigation, and at the moment have not provided additional details about the causes of the tragic incidents.
