A dramatic incident shook the capital boulevards "Konstantin Velichkov" and "Resurrection" last night when a young 21-year-old driver caused a massive transport tragedy. Official sources from the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs confirmed the extraordinary circumstances of the accident.
In the severe collision between the passenger car and the city bus, a Syrian citizen died, and the total number of injured reached six people. Three of them are in critical condition and are currently under continuous medical observation.
Investigators found that the vehicle is owned by a leasing company, with the driver being responsible for monthly installments. Additional checks revealed that the young driver received six administrative tickets in just two weeks, which calls into question his driving discipline.
The vehicle's driver is currently detained and guarded in a hospital facility. Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev called for a quick and precise investigation of the incident, with local authorities promising full cooperation with law enforcement.
