Incident on Trakia Motorway: Truck veers off road due to health issue
A serious accident has blocked part of the traffic in the Karnobat area. A 61-year-old truck driver lost control of his vehicle while driving on the Trakia Motorway.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the road accident was a sudden deterioration of the driver's health.
How did the accident happen?
According to police data, the driver entered a roadside parking area, where the truck hit the elastic safety fence twice. After the impacts, the heavy vehicle came to a stop in a drainage ditch.
Condition of the victim
Emergency teams arrived at the scene and determined that the man had suffered a stroke. The victim was urgently transported to a hospital in the city of Burgas. At the moment, his condition remains critical, and his life is in danger.
