Two pedestrians died in a serious accident in the central part of Varna, the police announced. The incident occurred at the intersection of Drin and Piskyuliev streets. The signal was reported at 14:42.
According to witnesses, after passing a traffic light, the driver lost control of the car and mowed down people moving on the sidewalk, after which he crashed into a commercial object. A man and a woman died.
According to police information, the driver of the car that caused the accident was taken to the hospital and has no serious visible injuries.
Traffic in the area is severely hampered.
