Tragedy in Aheloy: Child died in a hotel pool
A serious incident overshadowed the vacation of children at the "Sunrise River" hotel in Aheloy. A 10-year-old girl from Ukraine drowned in the hotel pool while staying at the "Mandarin" summer camp.
The report of the incident was received around 4:30 PM. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the child's life could not be saved.
Details of the incident
According to information from the Emergency Center in Burgas, the tragedy occurred as a result of a dangerous game:
- The children were competing to see who could stay underwater the longest.
- The pool lifeguard did not notice the signs of distress in time.
- Investigators are establishing all the circumstances surrounding the fatal case.
An inspection is currently underway to clarify how the safety of the children was organized during their stay at the camp.
