National Mourning: Parliament Honors Victims of Road Accidents
Today's plenary session began with a minute of silence in memory of the two nine-year-old boys who lost their lives in a horrific accident on the Trakia motorway. The children were traveling to a football tournament in the Albena resort complex when their lives were cut short.
"Yesterday, two nine-year-old children... lost their lives in a tragic way. The father of one of the boys also died," stated MP Velislav Velichkov.
A total of five people lost their lives in road accidents just yesterday. The situation sparked a sharp discussion regarding safety measures and justice in the judicial system.
Urgent changes are needed
- Prevention: Increased road control measures.
- Justice: Adequate response from the judicial authorities.
- Responsibility: Active participation of the legislative branch in solving the problem.
MP Velichkov emphasized that society and politicians cannot remain indifferent to the increasing number of cases in which children become victims of traffic accidents.
