Meteorologists from NIMH warn of continuing hot weather in the coming days with maximum temperatures reaching 39°C. A calm night with clear skies and almost complete calm is expected.
Sunny weather will cover the entire country, with eastern regions subject to moderate, sometimes strong easterly winds. Temperatures will continue to rise slightly, with around 34°C expected in the capital, while in other parts of the country they will vary between 34° and 39°C.
The Black Sea region will enjoy ideal conditions with temperatures between 29° and 32°C. Sea water will be extremely warm - 26°-27°C, with waves reaching 2-3 points with light to moderate easterly winds.
Mountain areas will also benefit from sunny weather. Winds will be light, moderate in higher areas, blowing from north-northeast. At 1200 meters altitude, the temperature will reach around 29°C, while at 2000 meters it will be around 22°C.
The forecast for Monday predicts continued hot weather with maximum temperatures up to 39°-40°C. Tuesday will bring a slight increase in cloud cover, but without precipitation and a slight drop in temperatures by 2-3 degrees. Winds will remain light, with temporary moderate gusts in Eastern Bulgaria from the northeast.
