Eastern and Western Bulgaria: more instability in the western part
In Western Bulgaria, June 15th will be warm but with more pronounced afternoon instability. Cloud cover will increase less compared to the western regions, as the probability of precipitation is lower and mainly concentrated in the interior, far from the seashore. In the mountains: good morning conditions, afternoon storms
In the mountainous regions, the day will start with good conditions for tourism – the morning will be mostly sunny, with temperatures around 17–19 degrees at about 1200 meters and around 11–13 degrees at 2000 meters. Visibility in the early hours will be good, and the wind – light to moderate.
In the afternoon, however, cumulonimbus clouds are expected to develop over the Rila, Pirin, Balkan Mountains, and parts of the Rhodopes. In many places, there will be short-term rain showers, accompanied by thunder and wind gusts, especially along the ridges and exposed mountain passes. Tourists should plan longer hikes for the first half of the day and avoid high parts of the mountain at the first signs of stormy cloud development.
Black Sea coast: sunny, warm, and suitable for swimming
Along the entire Black Sea coast on June 15th, typical summer weather is expected with prevailing sun and pleasant temperatures. Minimum values in the morning will be around 17–19 degrees, and daily maximums will reach 25–28 degrees, with it being 1–2 degrees warmer along the Southern Black Sea coast.
The sea water temperature along the coast will be around 21–22 degrees. The sea state will be slight to moderate – about 1–2 degrees, with a slight increase in the afternoon hours in open sections. The wind will be light to moderate from the east-southeast, with speeds around 3–7 m/s.
