Incident with casualties in a fire in Varna
A serious incident shook Varna last night after a fire broke out in a residential apartment. An 82-year-old woman has been admitted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries due to severe smoke inhalation.
The report of the fire was made shortly after 9:00 PM, and Fire Safety teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Details of the case:
- The fire was extinguished by four teams from the Varna Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection.
- In addition to the injured woman, one other person was evacuated from the building.
- Emergency medical teams arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a medical facility.
We remind you that this is not the first case of a fire in the city in recent weeks. At the end of March, an elderly man lost his life in a similar incident in Varna, which raises questions about fire safety in the homes of elderly people.
