Natural disaster blocks Japan

A strong tropical storm, known as "Jangmi", has caused serious chaos in Japan. At the moment, nine people have been reported injured, and nearly 50,000 households in Okinawa and Kagoshima have been left without electricity.

"We urge residents in high-risk areas to monitor evacuation notices and leave their homes on time," said government spokesman Minoru Kihara.

Transport is also seriously affected – airlines ANA and Japan Airlines were forced to cancel a total of 600 flights due to strong winds and heavy rains.

Dramatic bear incident in Fukushima

While the country struggles with the storm, additional tension has been created by a bear attack in Fukushima. Four people have been hospitalized after the animal attacked employees at a metallurgical plant and passersby in a residential area.
