The search and rescue operation for the fishing vessel in the Maslen Nos area continues.

Early this morning, experts from the "Maritime Administration" Directorate - Burgas conducted a survey of the seabed in the Maslen Nos area, where there are suggestions that the fishing vessel VN 8112 may have sunk, the press center of the Ministry of Transport and Communications announced. Yesterday, pollution of the water surface was detected in the same zone.

The announcement states that an operation is underway to inspect the site by divers and underwater drones of the Navy, and the actions will be carried out in accordance with hydrometeorological conditions.

BTA recalls that the Ministry of Transport announced an incident with a fishing vessel in our waters on Wednesday. On February 18, at 11:10 a.m., a signal was received from the Coastal Center in Varna to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center for the fishing vessel VN 8112, with which radar contact was lost. The ship was in the Maslen Nos area, and there were three people on board.
