President Iliana Yotova congratulated medical professionals on the occasion of World Health Day. In a Facebook post, she emphasized the importance of their role as a “strong shield in the fight against disease.”
“We owe so much as a country and as a society to doctors, nurses, and health professionals,” said Yotova. She noted that their success is not measured in money or popularity, but in the restored health of the patient and the lives saved.
Yotova concluded with gratitude and wishes for health to all medical professionals: “Thank you – not just on a holiday, but every day, for the professionalism, selflessness, love, for the dignity and modesty with which you carry out your mission every day. Be healthy!”
