A project for the production of healthy chards mousse won first place in the student competition of the Regional Information Center-Varna for the best-prepared entrepreneurial business plan. The competition is held at the end of each calendar year jointly with the University of Economics in the sea capital, the RIC-Varna announced to BTA.
In this year's edition, students from the specialties “Agricultural Business” and “Economics and Trade” presented their developments. They were evaluated by a jury composed of Dr. Victoria Nikolova - Manager of RIC-Varna, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gergana Slavova from the “Agricultural Economics” department at the University of Economics-Varna, and Yuri Zarev - chief expert at the Territorial Office Varna of the National Agricultural Advisory Service.
First place in the competition was won by Denitsa Dimitrova with her business plan “Mangold Majka”, which envisages the production of healthy mousses without colorings, sugar and preservatives, based on the superfood chard. The farm, where the valuable plant will be grown, is located in the Varna village of Priseltsi. The business plan provides for the purchase of the necessary equipment for the production of mousses, which will be offered in three variants - a combination of chard with different fruits, vegetables and spices. For the implementation of the activities, financing will be sought under interventions from the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas 2023-2027.
The jury awarded second place in the competition to Kaloyan Petrov, who presented his idea for the creation of a real estate agency, which is the only one in the country to offer the possibility of crowdfunding. Thus, large and small investors will be able to invest certain amounts in real estate projects. The company will rely on personal investments, but the alternative of starting the business with European funds was also discussed.
Dayana Dimitrova took third place. She presented a business plan for “Health and Fresh” - processing fresh fruits and vegetables into frozen mixes and smoothie balls in an enterprise in Veliki Preslav.
All students received certificates of participation in the competition and promotional materials from RIC-Varna.
