Stoil Tsitselkov stated on bTV that he will not resign from the Public Council of the Central Election Commission. He explained that there is no legal basis for this, as he has been rehabilitated.

Tsitselkov commented on the accusations of alcohol and marijuana use, as well as an incident in Ghana. He admitted to driving under the influence in 2011, for which he was sentenced to probation, but has been rehabilitated. Regarding the marijuana case, he explained that a small amount was found. Concerning the incident in Ghana, he pointed out that he violated security rules during a mission of the European Commission, for which he received a 'cooling-off period', but can continue to work as an expert.

Tsitselkov emphasized that his professional qualities should be discussed, not his personal mistakes. He added that his rehabilitation means a clean legal record.
