The Minister of Education and Science, Krasimir Valchev, is convening an extraordinary meeting with the heads of the Regional Education Directorates (RED). The meeting has been called in connection with current issues concerning the safety of students and staff in educational institutions. This step comes against the backdrop of tension surrounding safety measures in schools and raises the need for additional guarantees for a calm learning environment.

The main goal of the upcoming meeting is to review the existing safety systems and measures in educational institutions. Discussions will focus on identifying potential weaknesses and the need to strengthen them. In addition, the Minister and the heads of the RED will discuss specific actions to be taken at the school level to ensure maximum protection for students and teachers. The atmosphere of the future meeting is expected to be tense, given the urgency of the situation.

The press center of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) announced measures taken in connection with an incident in a capital city school. "In connection with today's incident in a capital city school, additional psychological support has been provided for the students, and the Regional Education Directorate Sofia-grad has been ordered to investigate the case," the MES informs.

As became clear from the announcements, the Ministry of Education and Science is reacting to an incident that occurred in a capital city school, which forced the authorities to take urgent measures.

Earlier today, the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA) reported an incident that occurred this morning in a capital city school. According to the information, a student was injured as a result of the incident.

Based on information from the Emergency Medical Assistance Center, a signal about the incident was received at 10:10 a.m. The report was of a deep cut wound in the shoulder area of a student. Emergency medical assistance was provided, and the injured student was taken to the University Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine (UHBATEM) "N. I. Pirogov". A tense atmosphere prevailed at the scene of the incident, accompanied by anxiety and concern among those present.
