Burgas Municipality is taking urgent measures to deal with a serious infestation of aphids on trees in key locations throughout the city. Specialized teams from the Disinfection Station will spray the vegetation along "Bogoridi" St. and "Aleksandrovska" St.

Why are aphids dangerous to trees?
These pests cause serious damage by feeding on plant sap. Here are the main consequences of their activity:
- Honeydew: Secretion of a sticky liquid that covers the leaves.
- Sooty mold: The honeydew creates an ideal environment for the development of dangerous fungal diseases.
- Deteriorated health: Leaf curling, premature drying, and stunted tree growth are observed.
Citizens are asked for their understanding while specialists carry out the necessary protective procedures to preserve the city's greenery.
