Attention to drivers and residents of Sozopol: The official entrance to the city will be temporarily closed due to an automotive event.
In connection with the upcoming automotive event "Sozopol Rally - The Road is Not a Track", scheduled for November 2, 2025 (Sunday), the authorities announce a temporary restriction on access to Sozopol. The closure of the official entrance to the city is planned for the period from 08:00 to 18:00.
Within this time frame on November 2, 2025, signs for temporary traffic organization will be placed at the entrance to Sozopol. This will happen on Republican Road II-99, before road junction 20+500, where the connection to municipal road BGS-12.10, known as the cloverleaf of Sozopol, is located. The existing road signs indicating the entrance to the city will be covered for the specified period.
For those who plan to travel to the city on this day, an alternative bypass is provided. It will be directed to the intersection of Republican Road II-99 to municipal road BGS-12.20, known as the ring road for Lidl.
It seems that the preparation for the rally is already underway. From early morning on November 2, at the entrance to the city, officers will direct traffic, and drivers will be redirected to the bypass route. It is expected that this will create some tension, but the organizers and authorities call for understanding and patience.
