A snowplow burned down on the Northern Tangent of Sofia early this morning. The incident occurred before the junction for Kostinbrod, causing a queue of cars in the direction of Burgas.

The cause of the accident was a technical problem with the electrical installation, according to API (Road Infrastructure Agency). The signal for the incident was received around 6:40 a.m.

API clarifies that measures have been taken to secure the machine. Road cleaning has not been affected, and traffic is currently normal.

The Road Infrastructure Agency again reminds drivers to be careful in winter conditions: prepared vehicles, appropriate speed, no risky maneuvers and overtaking of snow removal equipment.
