Accusations of Classified Information Leak
During the debate on the election of a deputy governor of the NHIF, a serious political scandal erupted. DPS MP Kalin Stoyanov accused Ivaylo Mirchev (Yes, Bulgaria) of disclosing classified information.
"There is no way Ivaylo Mirchev can know what is written in reports or investigations that are not yet in the administration of the National Assembly," Stoyanov stated firmly.
The Context of the Scandal
Mirchev claims to possess an investigation according to which the former deputy governor of the NHIF, Momchil Mavrov, and Assen Medzhidiev exerted pressure on the Executive Agency "Medical Supervision" with the aim of draining the Fund by increasing hospital beds.
