Lawsuit against the AGCC: Why was the head of the Varna cadastre removed?
The Administrative Court in Varna has initiated a case following an appeal against an order issued by the Executive Director of the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency (AGCC). The dispute arises from the removal from office of the head of the Varna office.
At the heart of the disciplinary proceedings lies the case concerning construction in the "Baba Alino" area, which also attracted the attention of the responsible Minister, Ivan Shishkov.
Arguments of the complainant
According to the removed head, the order for the disciplinary proceedings, initiated on May 28, is entirely unlawful. The main points in the appeal include:
- Lack of specific motives and factual grounds for the removal.
- Reliance on abstract claims by the AGCC regarding "influence over employees."
- Infliction of serious material and moral damages, including damage to reputation and honor.
What happens next?
The court is set to rule on the request to suspend the preliminary execution of the order. The case remains under public scrutiny due to its direct link to the investigation into illegal construction, for which Minister Shishkov stated he would also refer the matter to the prosecutor's office.
