Violations in the leasing of municipal lands near "Butamyata"
The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has uncovered significant legal violations in the procedure for leasing land in the area of the "Butamyata" beach. The investigation focuses on decisions made by the Municipal Council of Tsarevo regarding the designation of zones for tents, caravans, and campers.
The state prosecution insists on the immediate revocation of the adopted decisions; otherwise, the matter will be referred to the Administrative Court of Burgas.
The position of Tsarevo Municipality
Local authorities counter that the documents underwent a review procedure back in February and had not faced objections from the Regional Administration or the prosecution until now. Nevertheless, the mayor's office confirms that violation reports have already been issued by the RIEW (Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water) – Burgas and the municipal authorities.
What follows?
- A decision by the Municipal Council on whether to revoke the disputed acts is pending.
- RIEW – Burgas has already imposed administrative sanctions on the tenants.
- Tsarevo Municipality emphasizes that only a court can make a final ruling on the legality of the case, and they will comply with it.
