Wycombe Wanderers officially announced its latest addition for the summer transfer window, signing 25-year-old midfielder Ewan Henderson from Belgian team Beerschot for an undisclosed transfer fee.
The young footballer, who grew up in Celtic's academy, possesses extensive experience in various leagues. His career includes spells at domestic teams Ross County, Dunfermline Athletic, and Hibernian, before moving abroad.
Henderson progressed through different age levels of the Scottish national team – under 17, 19, and 21, which demonstrates his potential and qualities as a promising footballer.
Prior to this transfer, the player gained exceptional experience in Belgian football. He was initially loaned to second-division Oostende, and subsequently moved to elite Beerschot, where he made 33 appearances and scored three goals during the 2024-2025 season.
Wycombe's head coach Mike Dodds expressed his excitement about the new signing, emphasizing his dynamic qualities and football maturity. "Ewan is an extremely energetic midfielder with extensive experience from Scottish and Belgian leagues. He will add additional scope to the center of the field," Dodds commented.
Henderson's transfer is part of the club's comprehensive strategy to strengthen the squad. He joins already contracted Armando Junior Kithima, Taylor Allen, Bradley Finch, Caolan Boyd-Munce, Dan Casey, James Tilly, and Micky van Sas.
