Technological Breakthrough in Pyongyang
North Korea has taken another step toward modernizing its military arsenal by testing tactical ballistic and cruise missiles controlled by artificial intelligence. According to the official news agency KCNA, the purpose of these weapons is to meet the requirements of modern warfare.
"The tests confirm the successful modernization of automated launch systems and the precision of the navigation," stated leader Kim Jong Un.
Key features of the new missiles:
- AI guidance: Increased precision in hitting targets.
- Range: Tactical cruise missiles reach up to 100 km.
- Deployment: Planned basing in artillery units near the border with South Korea.
This move comes in the context of the ongoing cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow. Since the end of 2023, North Korea has been supplying ballistic and artillery missiles to Russia for the needs of the war in Ukraine, which has caused serious concerns in the international community.
