On the eve of Easter, Burgas Municipality is launching the traditional “Healthy Eating Week”, in which all Burgas kindergartens will actively participate again this year.

The initiative will take place from April 6, 2026 to April 9, 2026 and aims to encourage healthy eating habits in the youngest children, while creating a positive attitude towards balanced nutrition through games, demonstrations and practical activities.

This year's edition is under the motto “Easter magic – health, smiles and colorful days” and places special emphasis on the connection between children in kindergartens, students from vocational schools and the partners who take care of the preparation of food on a daily basis.

Within the framework of the initiative, each kindergarten will organize thematic days, as follows:

A special focus this year is the expansion of the initiative through active cooperation between the different units in the educational community. Students from the Professional High School of Tourism “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” will visit each kindergarten.

During the meetings, they will demonstrate skills in preparing and serving healthy foods, and in an accessible and inspiring way will show children how knowledge, professionalism and care for the quality of food contribute to their health, development and good mood.

Through this initiative, Burgas Municipality continues its consistent policy of building a healthy environment for children and encouraging good eating habits from an early age.

Burgas Municipality invites all parents and pedagogical specialists to actively participate and support children in creating healthy habits for life.
