Duty units have been established for coordination between the prosecutor's offices in Burgas, the Regional Directorate (RD) of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), and the Territorial Directorate (TD) "National Security" (NS) in the city to counter crimes against the political rights of citizens. This was announced at a working meeting between the Appeal Prosecutor of Burgas, Lyubomir Petrov, the District Prosecutor Georgi Chinev, the Regional Prosecutor Maria Markova, the Director of the RD of the MoI - Burgas, Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nenkov, and the Director of the TD "NS" Lyubomir Valkov, the press center of the Appeal Prosecutor's Office informed.
Information will also be exchanged with the Regional Election Commission in Burgas, and the data received will be analyzed and summarized in order to achieve maximum efficiency in countering this type of crime.
The idea is to strengthen the interaction between the institutions responsible for working against crimes against the political rights of citizens and other violations related to the electoral process. We have always worked in sync on these topics, and we will do so now, said Prosecutor Lyubomir Petrov.
Prosecutor Petrov is to hold working meetings with the heads of prosecutor's offices, the Ministry of Interior and DANS (State Agency for National Security) in Sliven and Yambol - the other two regions constituting the Appeal District - Burgas.
