Russian Strikes Shake Zaporizhzhia: Large-Scale Offensive and Human Losses

Russian occupation troops are conducting an unprecedented offensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia region, inflicting significant damage to civilian infrastructure and causing numerous casualties among the local population.

On July 6 and 7, 2025, the Russian occupation forces launched an unprecedented offensive along the entire front in the Zaporizhzhia region, using their full arsenal of combat means. According to official Ukrainian reports, the attackers applied a comprehensive strategy with rocket volley systems, artillery units, air support, and strike drones.

The statistics from the first day of the offensive - July 6 - recorded an impressive 538 strikes on twelve settlements, in which at least two civilians were injured. The next day, the attacks continued with six assault drones that bombarded the city of Zaporizhzhia, causing serious damage.

The damage from the offensive is significant - at least 14 people were affected, with destruction covering residential buildings, a university complex, a music school, and numerous economic facilities. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Military Administration, confirmed the large-scale destruction of infrastructure and agricultural equipment.

Ukrainian authorities qualified the incident as the largest offensive in the last three years in this sector of the front line. An immediate pre-trial investigation was initiated for possible war crimes against the civilian population.

Despite the intensive attack, Ukrainian defense formations demonstrated firmness and continue to hold the defensive line, offering continuous resistance against the advancing Russian troops.
