Russian drones hit two sites in Kremenchuk, in Ukraine's Poltava region, the head of the Poltava regional military administration said. A 16-year-old boy was badly hurt and taken to hospital.
The strikes hit a multi-storey block of flats and a hotel. The block was damaged, and a fire broke out at the hotel after the strike.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service have so far pulled 15 people to safety. All the relevant services have been sent to the strike sites, and officials are still working out how bad the damage is and how many people were hurt.
Russia has been waging a full-scale war against Ukraine since February 2022.
