The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) has declassified confidential information about one of the most modern strategic submarines of the Russian Federation - K-555 "Knyaz Pozharsky", which belongs to the modernized project 955A "Borei-A".
According to the obtained intelligence data, the submarine possesses an extremely powerful missile potential with 16 launch positions for intercontinental ballistic missiles R-30 "Bulava-30". Each of these shafts can transport up to ten nuclear warheads, making it an extremely dangerous strategic object.
Based at the naval base Gadzhievo in the Murmansk region, the submarine was officially commissioned personally by President Vladimir Putin. Its construction started in 2016 at the famous shipyard "Sevmash", located in Severodvinsk.
"Knyaz Pozharsky" is the first ship of the second series of the "Borei-A" project and is designed to serve in the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation. This submarine represents a key element of the country's ongoing modernization of strategic nuclear forces.
