On June 17, 2025, in the early hours of the day, Russia carried out a massive combined missile attack on Kyiv, in which at least 27 different locations in the capital were hit. According to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko, one of the ballistic missiles hit a multi-story residential building directly, passing through all 9 floors.

By 7:00 a.m., the number of fatalities is 14, and over 40 people have been injured, with over 30 of them hospitalized. Among the victims is a U.S. citizen. In the Solomyansky district, the entrance to a residential building has been completely destroyed, and emergency services teams continue to clear the debris and search for survivors in other affected parts of the city.
