Another provocative military operation was carried out by Russian forces against strategic infrastructure facilities in Ukrainian territory. The night attack, implemented on August 8, included precise guidance of five unmanned aerial vehicles of the "Shahid" model towards a petroleum installation of the Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR.
According to official reports from law enforcement services, the drone attack caused a large-scale fire and serious damage to the diesel fuel pipeline. Immediately after the incident, immediate actions were taken to extinguish the emerging flame, and the teams managed to quickly localize the fuel incident.
The most alarming aspect of the attack is the consequences for the personnel - four employees sustained severe injuries that required urgent medical intervention. The investigating authorities emphasize that the five points of impact clearly demonstrate the intentionality of the attack against the specific infrastructure facility.
Experts note that this incident is not an isolated case. Shortly before, the gas distribution station "Orlivka" near the Romanian border was also attacked - an important node of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline. Pro-Russian information channels are already openly defining Azerbaijani assets as "legitimate military targets".
Currently, specialized teams are conducting a detailed analysis and emergency recovery activities, with the extent of the damage still being established. The incident increases tension and demonstrates the continued vulnerability of critical infrastructure in the region.
