Russia attacked Ukraine overnight on 5 November with 128 Shahed drones and two Kh-35 missiles, the Air Force said. Four people were injured: three in Dnipro and one in Kyiv region.
Dnipro
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said Russian drones attacked Dnipro and Samar. In Dnipro, the roof of a private house and private garages caught fire, and three people were hurt.
Fires also broke out at critical infrastructure sites. Emergency crews are working at the sites of the strikes.
On the morning of 3 November, a Russian strike on Dnipro killed two people and injured 20 more.
Kyiv region
Russia hit logistics infrastructure in Bucha district, the State Emergency Service said. A fire broke out and one man was injured.
The fire is now under control. Rescuers are putting out the remaining fires and clearing debris, and more crews have been sent in from other districts of the region.
What was launched and how much was shot down
The two Kh-35 missiles were fired from the Black Sea. Of the 128 drones, 65 were jet-powered. Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems and mobile fire groups all helped repel the attack.
As of 8:00, preliminary data showed that air defences had shot down or jammed 105 Shahed drones, 48 of them jet-powered, along with Gerbera drones and other types. Several attack drones were still in the air, and the fighting continued.
Enemy weapons hit 18 places, and debris from downed targets fell on 9 others.
Russia has been waging a full-scale war against Ukraine since February 2022.
