Three waves of ballistic missile strikes, with 21 missiles, hit Kyiv from the evening. Twelve regions were hit. In the capital, ordinary homes, energy sites, a railway station, the metro, shopping centres, businesses and even a monastery were damaged.
The attack came after talks in Moscow, where White House envoy Steve Witkoff reportedly called Putin a "humanist". "Right after the latest talks, Russia carried out a show of force," Zelensky wrote. He said that when the answer to talks is ballistic missiles, Moscow needs "real pressure": stronger air defence, fast delivery of missiles, the ability to destroy ballistic missile launchers, and sanctions.
