Burgas's regional election commission (RIK) has ordered the mayor of Sozopol to take down campaign material put up next to a polling station on Apolonia Street. The order was issued on election day.

The material is an LED advertising display showing a presidential candidate's face and a campaign slogan. It stands less than 50 metres from the polling station.

The commission checked the site after a complaint and ruled that the display is campaign material. Such material is not allowed near polling stations on election day.

In October, RIK Burgas had already ordered the removal of campaign posters from electricity poles in the village of Zidarovo, in Sozopol municipality. That was the first reported breach of the Electoral Code in the campaign, and the decision was sent to the municipal mayor.

RIK Burgas found a breach of election law.
