The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy introduced significant simplifications in concluding one-day labor contracts in the agricultural sector, the social minister Borislav Gutsanov reported during an official briefing.

According to the presented data, 135,000 one-day labor contracts have been registered this year, which is considered a significant volume, despite challenges with the harvest. In comparison, the previous year recorded 230,000 similar agreements.

Experts from the industry emphasized the exceptional ease of filling out the new contracts. Mark Tsekov from the National Branch Chamber of "Fruits and Vegetables" explained that the documents can be for four or eight working hours, requiring minimal documentation - only personal ID number, full name, working hours, signature, and date.

Gergana Andreeva from the National Association "Essential Oils, Perfumery and Cosmetics" added that an electronic platform for managing data on employed persons is upcoming. The system will directly transmit information to the National Revenue Agency, eliminating the need for additional service notes when using social benefits.

Minister Gutsanov emphasized that state policy is aimed at business transparency, avoiding forceful methods. As an additional detail to the statistics, he reported that 1,500 work permits for foreigners in the agricultural sector have been issued since the beginning of the year.

Despite the introduced simplifications, the authorities will continue to maintain strict control over labor relations, guaranteeing the interests of both workers and employers.
