The giant in beverages, PepsiCo, has officially announced a long-awaited innovation in its portfolio – Pepsi Prebiotic Cola, which is the first significant product after a twenty-year period of status quo in the company.
The new carbonated drink has exceptional characteristics: only 30 calories in a standard 12-ounce package, 3 grams of prebiotic fibers, and a minimal amount of sugar – just 5 grams. The special feature of this product is the complete absence of artificial sweeteners.
The market strategy provides for a phased entry – initially online distribution in the fall of 2025, followed by full presence in retail outlets at the beginning of 2026.
Experts define this step as a direct response to the growing competition from alternative brands like Poppi and Olipop, which have already gained a significant market share among consumers seeking healthier carbonated drinks.
