The management of the municipal services in Burgas warns of an upcoming significant change in traffic organization, which will affect one of the city"s key road arteries. The reason is the start of large-scale construction and installation works related to the complete reconstruction of "Asen Zlatarov" St.
According to the official announcement, effective from 08:45 AM on September 29, 2025 /Monday/, vehicle traffic will be completely suspended in a specific segment of the street. The start of the restrictions during the early morning hour of the first working day of the week necessitates extremely careful planning of routes by citizens and visitors to the city.
Large-Scale Modernization of Critical Infrastructure
The main goal of the project is a complete modernization of the critical infrastructure beneath the road surface. Construction activities cover not only the reconstruction of the road pavement but also the complete replacement of the existing water main, as well as the household sewage system (BFK). These measures are part of a site designated as "Reconstruction of "Asen Zlatarov" St. with replacement of existing water main and BFK from control point (o.t.) 166 to control point (o.t.) 93, Burgas".
The specific section that will be entirely closed to traffic is on "Asen Zlatarov" St., located between "Sredna Gora" St. and "Rilska_q_ St. This practically means that until the activities are completed, passing through this segment will be impossible, necessitating the diversion of traffic flows onto adjacent streets.
The Municipality and the contractors of the construction site urgently call upon all drivers to strictly comply with the introduced temporary traffic organization.
This organization includes signage, instructions for alternative routes, and safety measures aimed at both worker safety and minimizing congestion in the area.
In connection with the planned closure and inevitable difficulties, citizens are advised to use alternative routes and allow additional travel time, especially during peak working hours. Compliance with instructions is key to avoiding incidents and supporting the rapid progression of vital infrastructure works.
