Burgas Municipality has announced the introduction of a temporary traffic organization in one of the city's busiest areas. Due to planned repair works on the water and sewage network, residents and visitors will have to comply with the changes, which will affect the "Zornitsa" neighborhood and access to one of the largest hospitals in the region.

The activities are scheduled for Saturday, 23.08.2025, and will lead to the complete closure of an important intersection. From 07:30 to 17:30, traffic will be suspended at the intersection of "Sv. Panteleimon Lechitel" street with the street providing access to and from UMHAT Burgas. This is a key transport hub that handles a significant flow of cars, including emergency vehicles, and connects residential complexes with main road arteries. The weekend closure, although less busy than a weekday, is still expected to cause serious difficulties.

Alternative Route

To minimize inconvenience for citizens, Burgas Municipality has provided an alternative route. It is intended for both patients needing access to the hospital and residents in the area who will be cut off from their usual paths. The detour route is as follows:

The introduction of temporary road signs and markings will guide drivers traveling in the area. The local administration appeals to drivers to be patient and to comply with the instructions to avoid traffic jams and potentially dangerous situations.

The planned repair works are part of long-term efforts to improve the city's infrastructure, but their implementation is often accompanied by temporary inconvenience for citizens. The authorities emphasize that these measures are necessary to ensure the long-term functionality and safety of the water supply network in the area. On-site teams will monitor the implementation of the temporary organization and will ensure the normal flow of traffic along the detour route.
