Significant traffic difficulties are expected tomorrow, September 11, for travelers on the Struma motorway in the direction of the capital. From 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, traffic in the area of the 58th kilometer will be redirected to the passing lane, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) announced.
The reason for the temporary change is a warranty repair of a joint on a viaduct, located in the Kyustendil region. Due to the repair work, passage in the active lane will be restricted, which necessitates the introduction of a special traffic regime.
Appeal to Drivers
The RIA appeals to all drivers to exercise increased caution when passing through the problematic section. It is strongly recommended to strictly observe traffic rules, the imposed speed limit, and the placed road signs. The goal is to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
The Agency offered its apologies to citizens and companies for the inconvenience caused. In their official announcement, the institution emphasizes that the repair works are of utmost importance and are absolutely necessary to ensure the long-term safety of the road network and to enhance overall travel comfort.
