On June 17, 2025, the "Invisible Animals" organization published the results of an inspection at a chicken farm near the village of Kramolin, Sevlievo municipality. According to the activists, the chickens at the facility, owned by "ECO INVEST - 2008" EOOD, were trampled, left without food, and lived among carrion, the carcasses of other birds, rats, and excrement. On June 11, an official signal was submitted to the BFSA and the Prosecutor's Office in Gabrovo, requesting immediate closure and investigation of the violations. The organization accuses the farm of receiving over 500,000 BGN in subsidies, including for "humane treatment of animals," despite the described horrifying conditions. According to the activists, the level of serious violations requires urgent intervention by the regulators and the imposition of stricter sanctions to prevent future systematic cruelty to animals.
