The town of Razlog has canceled all planned public events following the tragic death of an eight-year-old child who died in an unfortunate accident in Nessebar. The sad news was personally announced by the mayor of the town, Krasimir Gerchev, who expressed his deep sorrow and condolences to the child's family.
In an official message on his Facebook profile, Mayor Gerchev wrote:
"Razlog lost a young life in a bizarre accident. A child is forever 8 years old. The loss is heavy and irreparable."He added:

Investigation into the incident
After the incident, the investigating authorities took immediate action. Three employees connected with the company providing the service were detained for 24 hours for questioning. The case has been taken over by the District Prosecutor's Office, which will investigate all circumstances surrounding the tragic incident to establish whether all safety measures were observed and to seek accountability for the senseless death of the child.
