More than 80 competitors will participate in the RAT WHO mountain race in Sveti Vlas on March 1st, the organizers announced.

The event, which is held after its debut in 2024, is organized for the third consecutive year by "Sports Lovers - Nesebar", with the support of the Sveti Vlas Municipality.

Participants will run a 6-kilometer course with 300 meters of positive elevation gain, combining technical sections, ascents, and descents.

The mayor of Sveti Vlas, Ivan Nikolov, expressed his support for the event, emphasizing its importance for the city.

The format of RAT WHO is unconventional, emphasizing endurance. Starts are every full hour, and the finishing time decreases by 3 minutes with each lap.

The race is free for participants, and the start-finish zone will be in the square in front of the "St. Atanasius" church.

The course passes along the mountain trails above Sveti Vlas, including a climb to the emblematic peak in the Eminska Mountain.

The idea is from ultramarathon runner Pirin Galov, inspired by the international event Run Around The Clock (RATCU). The organizers from "Sports Lovers - Nesebar" are also known for the half marathon in Nesebar.
