The labor market in Bulgaria: Current data for the month of July
In July 2026, the Bulgarian labor market recorded activity with 8,448 announced job vacancies. The Employment Agency reported that a total of 10,305 people received support for finding a new job or career development.
The level of registered unemployment at the end of July reached 5.43%, which is a slight increase compared to the 5.21% reported at the end of June.
Which sectors are looking for the most personnel?
The greatest demand for staff is observed in the following economic spheres:
- Education and administrative activities
- Manufacturing industry
- Public administration
- Trade and repair of vehicles
- Hospitality and catering
- Human health care and social work activities
Top professions on the market
Among the most sought-after specialists during the month are teachers, care workers, construction and transport workers, salespeople, as well as machine operators. At the same time, 592 people from vulnerable groups started work through subsidized employment programs, including people with disabilities and young people without experience.
A total of 9,517 unemployed people started work through labor offices, and over 6,900 economically inactive individuals took steps to join the labor market.
