A New Stage in Bulgarian-German Relations
During his official visit to Berlin, Prime Minister Rumen Radev emphasized Bulgaria's strategic importance as a logistics and industrial partner to Germany in Southeast Europe. According to him, our country is no longer a periphery, but a key factor in energy, transport, and digital corridors.
"Bulgaria has established itself as an important industrial and logistics partner to Germany, thanks to the talent and ambition of our compatriots," the Prime Minister stated.
Highlights from the meeting:
- Innovation and AI: Radev pointed out the success of the Bulgarian IT sector and the potential of artificial intelligence for future economic development.
- Defense Industry: Projects for joint acquisitions, airspace defense, and potential drone production were discussed as an alternative to European projects.
- Investments: Germany remains a leading partner in the automotive sector, robotics, and high-tech manufacturing.
Radev noted that after a period of political instability, the new technocratic government has an ambitious program to strengthen the rule of law and accelerate economic development. The two leaders also discussed the need for a stronger European role in diplomacy to achieve peace and the strategic autonomy of the EU.
